Vojta is a Czech flow arts & juggling pioneer who is recognized mainly for his innovative ideas in the field of poi dancing, but broadly explores other domains of fire dancing & object manipulation, such as staff juggling, and long staff spinning. In his style, he combines his knowledge of body movement, acrobatics object manipulation, juggling, and music.

Most recently he’s been exploring unknown areas of advanced LED programming combined with illusionism and even elements of new magic, which led him to designing some completely new props, as well as finding new ways of using existing ones.

In combination with his movement, juggling and spinning skills and artistic & scenographic ideas, he embarks on the journey of creating brand-new forms of new circus and performance art.

In world’s flow arts & juggling community, Vojta’s mainly known for his contribution to the world of poi dancing. His ten years old poi video „The future is now” is still today the most viewed video on the internet. Many poi enthusiasts have learned from his poi tutorials that are featured on Vojta’s own learning platform, poitutorials.com. His YouTube channel with inspirational and performance videos is the world’s third most subscribed flow arts  & poi channel.

Other reasons why you might have heard about Vojta are the event he organizes. The most significant is the festival Roztoč fest, annually held in the Czech Republic, which is Europe’s second most visited flow arts & fire dancing festival. Apart from that, Vojta has been organizing various flow arts & poi retreats around the world, in countries like Italy, Bali, Guatemala, France or Poland. Hundreds of aspiring artists and enthusiasts have joined these events in the past, that are part of the project poiretreat.com and flowartsretreats.com, together with his partners.

Vojta’s performance career has started in early 2010 and since then he performed more than a thousand of shows with many world-renown performance productions. Thanks to his wide range of performance-related skills, such as the knowledge of music production, LED programming, using fire effects, and choreographing experience, Vojta has often been invited as a choreographer & coach to various project.

Being only 29 years old, Vojta’s ambitions are set high, and his artistic journey is under constant evolution. He’s usually travelling from a country to country, jumps from performing to teaching, playing drums with his band Tygroo, or organising something somewhere. As opportunities open at every corner, the story is likely to continue.
